Territory Account Manager
Midwestern and Great Lakes States, USA


The Account Manager will be responsible for leading ACD/Labs commercial territory strategy. The primary objective of this role is to achieve rapid growth of revenue and market penetration, in the defined territory. He/she will be responsible for:

  • Selling all ACD/Labs products and solutions (desktop and enterprise); ensuring successful achievement or overachievement of revenue targets.
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Making effective product presentations at customers' sites, having strong product knowledge of our Enterprise Solutions.
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with account team members, and all members of the sales team, and other departments.


The candidate should have extensive sales experience and a track record indicative of having successfully sold ChemInformatics (or Scientific Informatics) products and services that achieved significant growth and market share; meeting or exceeding expectations. He/she will have shown the ability to initiate, cultivate, and maintain relationships with a broad range of customers in a "multi-level" sales environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Background and experience in chemical or pharmaceutical company is highly advantageous.
  • A successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in informatics or a closely related field.
  • Experience leading a sales team of technical specialists, and project management.
  • Experience in developing a territory sales plan designed to achieve specific growth objectives.
  • A sense of urgency in executing plan, making necessary changes to achieve objectives, and achieving high sales growth.
  • He/she must be a committed, hard-working individual, and be of unquestionable integrity.

Degrees in Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related fields are preferable and knowledge of spectroscopy (NMR, IR, MS), chromatography (LC, GC), physical chemistry and/or biochemistry is highly desirable.
