Marketing Communications Specialist
Toronto, ON, Canada

Working closely with subject matter experts throughout the organization, the role will be responsible for envisioning, planning, and executing a wide variety of product marketing and communications activities to promote ACD/Labs and our technologies. They will be responsible for the creation of content for distribution across multiple channels with a concentration on driving and executing the company’s social media strategy.

  • Develop marketing and communication strategies to provide maximum exposure for the company and aid brand management
  • Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new ACD/Labs technologies and support existing products
  • Social media marketing—plan, execute, and grow engagement through social media channels
  • Digital marketing and content marketing creation,
    • Create marketing and promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, email campaigns, web content, print and web advertising, posters, presentations, videos, surveys, press releases, and media focused tasks
  • Plan and execute marketing activities at trade shows and corporate meetings
  • Support sales enablement
  • Travel to trade shows (~2 per year)


  • Degree in a scientific discipline; experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation; industry experience in life sciences sector; and/ or demonstrated experience marketing to a technical, scientific audience.
  • 3-5 years full-time experience in a communications roles/marketing role—this may include being part of a team in corporate communications, journalism, advertising, or marketing
    • Proven work experience in social media marketing or as a digital marketing specialist
    • Demonstrable social networking experience
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and channels
  • Knowledge of online marketing good practices in web design, experience with web analytics and Google Adwords
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with marketing automation software an asset
  • Positive attitude, detail oriented, strong project management and interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed, goal oriented and personally accountable


Customer Success Coordinator
Toronto, ON, Canada

A Customer Success Coordinator will work within the ACD/Labs Technical and Scientific Services Team to support existing customers.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Acquire an in-depth expertise of the ACD/Labs core software products and have the ability to effectively troubleshoot issues and provide customers with courteous and timely responses.
  • Work with the ACD/Labs Customer Success team to facilitate, execute, follow up on and track a variety of Customer Success initiatives.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and, using open-ended questions, be able to identify and confirm customer's critical business issues/requirements.
  • Clearly communicate software capabilities (verbally or by conducting basic online demonstrations) to highlight how the software capabilities can address their critical business issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other ACD/Labs teams


Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry

Experience: Knowledge of ACD/Labs software solutions is desirable. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who enjoys and excels at problem solving, and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of one or more operating systems including Windows®, Mac OSX, Linux.

Laboratory Knowledge: Well versed with modern analytical techniques including NMR, MS, UV/IR, HPLC, LC, and GC.

Language: English, Strong composition, grammar, and presentation skills.

A successful candidate will be able and eager to learn on the job, be self-motivated, excel with moderate to low supervision, and have an eye for detail.
