Technical Support Specialist (North America)

The ACD/Labs Technical and Scientific Services Team is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to assist customers, distributors and team members by providing technical support for ACD/Labs software and solutions. Additional responsibilities will include conducting software training, assisting with marketing activities and participating at conferences.
Education: The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Chemistry (or a related science), preferably with some industrial experience. Prior knowledge of ACD/Labs software solutions is advantageous, but not requisite, as full training will be provided.
Analytical/Laboratory skills: Well versed with modern analytical techniques including MS, NMR, UV, IR, Raman spectroscopy, chromatography and hyphenated techniques such as GC/MS and LC/MS.
IT Experience: The candidate should be comfortable with MS Windows® operating systems. Familiarity with scientific software, other operating systems as well as programming languages (Java, Pascal, Visual Basic) or databasing systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL) are a distinct asset, but not requisite.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who enjoys and excels at problem solving, and demonstrates good interpersonal skills. The candidate will be required to learn on the job, be self-motivated and have an eye for detail.
Language: English, strong composition, grammar, and presentation skills.
