Toronto, Ont., August 24, 2001 - Advanced Chemistry Development has been chosen as one of the fastest growing technology companies in Canada, according to the 2001 "Canadian Technology Fast 50" program, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada.

To determine the fastest growing Canadian companies, the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche called upon companies to participate in the 2001 Canadian Technology Fast 50 Program. Their accounting experts reviewed the participating companies' revenues for the past five years (1996-2000), and compared the 5-year growth percentage for companies in Canada. Making this list is quite an accomplishment for Advanced Chemistry Development, considering that it has been in existence for less than a decade!

Val Kulkov, President of ACD, attributes this fast growth to rapid product development, excellent marketing campaigns and outstanding employee teamwork that has created a positive reputation for the company and its products among customers worldwide. "Our most valuable asset is our people. Their unique skills, dedicated effort and the teamwork have been our strategic success factors."

"In an era where technology companies come and go, making the Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 is a testament to a company's leadership and its ability to not only have the right solution for that moment in time, but also the vision that allows growth over five years. Advanced Chemistry Development has proven that its leadership has the right stuff to succeed, and we at Deloitte & Touche salute their accomplishments," said Garry Foster, National Director of Technology & Communications at Deloitte & Touche.

The criteria for the Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 are threefold: a company must have had operating revenues of at least $75,000 CAD in 1996 and $1,000,000 CAD in 2000; must be a public or private company headquartered in Canada; and must produce technology, manufacture a technological product, or devote a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
