The symposium is an opportunity to meet those responsible for the implementation and deployment of ACD/Labs enterprise
software solutions and learn about the future direction of our software development from an IT perspective.
ACD/Labs development and Professional Services staff, as well as other IT personnel, will meet with ACD/Labs clients, share
their experiences and discuss the realities of IT infrastructure planning and implementation, and develop strategies to
manage it.
The session will consist of client presentations, ACD/Labs presentations, and a Q&A session.

Topics related to the deployment of software.
- Hardware platforms, operating systems, database systems, license control
- Virtual machines, dedicated versus shared systems, software as a service
- Thick versus thin clients and software deployment via terminal services
- Deployment in large vs. small organizations

Topics related to the future versions of ACD/labs enterprise software
- Integration of the current ChemFolder enterprise and SpecDB platform
- The new Spectrus 3 tier architecture
- Preparation for the migration to the new architecture

Topics related to the integration of ACD/Labs software in corporate environments
- Integration with other applications ELN, LIMS, registration systems
- Scripting capabilities available for the ACD/Labs software
- Coverage of workflows by Workflow management and scripting
