ACD/Labs European Seminar Series Agenda

Time Title Presenter
9:00–9:30 Coffee and Registration
9:30–9:40 Welcome and Introduction

Since its foundation 16 years ago, ACD/Labs has continuously released innovative software applications and suites for chemical, analytical, and predictive tasks in the respective markets. 2010 will be another year of major events.

9:40–10:30 Spectrus—A Continuing Evolution of Leveraging Analytical Knowledge

Spectrus is a new generation of ACD/Labs software built on 16 years of experience. The entry level is an innovative and affordable solution providing basic analytical data processing and structure confirmation. This forms the foundation for ACD/Labs Workbook software for expert-level analytical data processing, interpretation, storage, and retrieval to enable increased leverage of analytical knowledge.
Mike Partington
Director of Sales, Europe
10:30–11:10 An Automated System for the Evaluation of Compound Libraries

Automated structure verification using ACD/Analytical Automation Suite effectively supports automating the process of assessing the fit between proposed structure and experimental data. Only the results that are ambiguous or inconsistent must be evaluated further manually, significantly reducing the overall time required to verify quantities of structures.
Ryan Sasaki
NMR Product Marketing Manager
11:10–11:25 Coffee
11:25–12:00 Management of Analytical Metadata for Compounds, Reactions, and Biotransformational Pathways

The ACD/ChemFolder application gives the user the capability to manage structural data at a hierarchical level but also offers a unique capability to store biotransformational maps associated with metabolite identification workflows, which can later be mined for future drug discovery projects. In the Enterprise version, this can be linked to the database of analytical (spectral) data to provide a complete overview.
Ian Peirson
Senior Application Scientist
12:00–13:00 Lunch
13:00–13:30 REACH and Environmental Chemist’s Suite (Tools to Collect and Amalgamate Data for REACH Submissions to ECHA)

ACD/Labs is offering a new software suite for chemists involved in environmental studies or collecting and amalgamating data for REACH submissions to ECHA.

ACD/Labs has put together a package to ensure any submission is likely to be smooth and undisputed. The package has the additional benefit of allowing the creation of your own searchable compound or formulation database with the option to design template reports to create MSDS in line with the Global Harmonization System.
