ACD/Labs and IDBS: analytical data alive and kicking!
Ryan Sasaki, Director of Global Strategy
May 20th, 12:50–1:20 PM
Abstract: Analytical data lies behind many of the major decisions that are made to move various projects forward in a research and development environment. Unfortunately this data is often scattered in various proprietary instrument data formats and in unstructured data repositories which makes it almost impossible to re-purpose, re-use, and compare with other experiments. One of the main platforms for data-driven research has become the Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN). Traditionally the information-rich analytical data that is acquired to support experiments is reduced down to a Word or PDF document and attached to an ELN record. This greatly reduces the ability for the data to be analyzed and compared at a deeper level; and to be used effectively for decision making, historical analyses, and report generation.
In this workshop, we will discuss the latest developments in the IDBS and ACD/Labs platform integration to deliver the next step in lab informatics for Analytical Sciences.
