Impurity Lifecycle Management: Visualising a vast array of analytical data

Abstract: During the many years it takes to develop a new pharmaceutical entity, thousands if not millions of experiments and tests are performed to ensure youíve made the right material and it is of the correct quality. ELNís are designed to record this data, but trying to capture & visualise the knowledge rather than just the analytical data is more of a challenge. We have been working with ACD/Labs for a number of years to achieve this, through SpecDB, Chem Folder Enterprise and now with SpectrusDB, we have developed a tool and workflows which allow data to be easily imported and linked to related synthetic routes, exisiting analytical reference data (NMR, MS, HPLC etc), impurity structures and fate and purge pathways.
