The Selected Organic Reactions (SOR) Database is a collection of validated, yet mostly
unpublished, compounds and reactions that have been liberated from theses and dissertations
stored in academic libraries around the world (www.sord.nl).
The SOR Database contains tens, and soon, hundreds of thousands of reactions and compounds of relevance to the
pharmaceutical industry and also contains all available experimental details.
The success of SORD depends on your help in accessing the body of validated yet previously unpublished work in
dissertations. SORD is actively seeking permission from dissertation authors, in exchange for full access—free
of charge to the database, granted to their academic organizations.
