Specific Classes of Compounds

R-5.1.1 Hydrocarbons

Substituted hydrocarbons are named as derivatives of carbon parent hydrides (see R-2.2, R-2.3 and R-2.4). Some trivial names are retained (see R-9.1, Table 19(a), Table 20 and Table 21).
