"ACD/Labs has the most highly developed suite of software for chemists available in the market today. Our mission is to grow ACD/Labs by making every chemist aware of this fact," declared Mr. Dugdale in a brief statement at a luncheon to celebrate the event. Ian Dugdale is already a member of the ACD/Labs team, as the Product Manager of Global Solutions. He assumes his new responsibilities with over 8 years' sales and sales management experience in the software industry. Ian graduated from Queen Mary Westfield College in London UK with a B.Sc. First Class Honours in Chemistry, followed by an M.Sc. in Information Technology from Victoria University in Manchester UK. His formal education is well supplemented with an excellent knowledge of ACD/Labs product and service offerings.
TORONTO, June 2001 - Advanced Chemistry Development and Elsevier Science release FT-IR and Raman Polymer Database
Elsevier Science and Advanced Chemistry Development have collaborated to produce a database containing a collection of FTR-IR Spectra of 500 natural and synthetic polymers. Until now, this data has only been available in the Handbook of Fourier Transform Raman and Infrared Spectra of Polymers, by A.H. Kuptsov and G.N. Zhizhin.
TORONTO, June 12, 2001 - US Team Prepares for International Chemistry Olympiad, with ACD/Labs Support
Advanced Chemistry Development is proud to support the US Chemistry Olympiad Study Camp with donations of our chemistry software to help in their studies. The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) Study Camp is being held this year at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO from June 13-17. Twenty participants prepare for one week, and of these, 5 are chosen. The purpose of the camp is to prepare and select the team for The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) competition to be held in Mumbai, India from July 6-15. This is the 33rd IChO competition and will be the 18th year that the U. S. has sent a team. Last year's team received 2 Gold, including top score in the world, and 2 Bronze medals. the final stages of testing and release is imminent. We are encouraged by
