Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) has provided a campus-wide installation of the commercial version of ACD/ChemSketch v5.0 to Hawai'i Pacific University. Spearheading the installation of ChemSketch at HPU was chemistry professor Dr. David Horgen. David found out about ACD/Labs' product offerings at the American Society of Pharmacognosy conference where he was presenting a poster. Wanting to add additional NMR visualization tools to his organic chemistry course, David spoke with representatives of ACD/Labs to acquire our 1H and 13C NMR prediction software currently offered in ACD/Educator Pack #2 and #4. TORONTO, November 7, 2003 - ACD/Labs Welcomes a new Northeast Account Manager
Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) is happy to announce the addition of Frederick Zeth, B.Sc., as our new Northeast Account Manager. Fred brings almost 15 years of experience in sales of analytical instrumentation and software. He joins ACD/Labs from MD Biotech, a start up biotech company, where he was the Marketing and Sales Manager. Prior to MD Biotech, he spent one year at Bio-Rad selling their chemical informatics software covering the Southeast, and nine years at Shimadzu Scientific selling analytical instrumentation to the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industries in North Carolina. He also comes to us with five years experience in the research laboratory at Union Carbide. Fred received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Pennsylvania State University. He will be based in the Pennsylvania area covering Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, and Vermont.

TORONTO, October 3, 2003 - U.S. Team Medals at 35th International Chemistry Olympiad, with ACD/Labs Support
Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) is proud to have supported the U.S. Chemistry Olympiad Team in their preparation for the 35th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) held from July 5-14, 2003 in Athens, Greece. The four team members were among 232 high school students representing 59 countries at this year's competition, and the team returned home with one silver and three bronze medals. The four students were selected from among the 10,000 students who participated in the 2003 U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO), and from the top twenty students who participated in the intensive two-week USNCO study camp at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. ACD/Labs supported the team with their donations of chemistry software, t-shirts, and other goodies to the study camp. Cecilia Hernandez, Coordinator of the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad, expressed to ACD/Labs with gratitude, "Private support greatly expands our efforts to invest in the future of young chemists in this country. TORONTO, September 30, 2003 - ACD/Labs Reaches 500,000 Software Downloads
Ten months later and we have reached the half way point! ACD/Labs is excited to announce that in late August of 2003, only ten months after achieving 400,000 downloads, we passed the 500,000 download mark. Continuing our current average of 300 downloads per day, we are on pace to reach 1,000,000 downloads in approximately four years. ACD/Labs thanks all of the people who have downloaded our software over the years and hopes our customers continue to find value in our offerings.

Account Manager
Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) is happy to announce the
addition of Vincent Dillman, B.Sc., MBA, as our new Atlantic Account
Manager. Vince brings almost 15 years of experience in the sales of
analytical instrument and scientific software based solutions. He joins
ACD/Labs from MDL Information Systems where he was a Global Pharmaceutical
Account Manager responsible for managing the worldwide MDL and Elsevier
business for several major pharmaceutical companies in the NJ area. Prior to
MDL, Vince spent 10 years as an Analytical Instrument Sales Representative
for HP/Agilent covering the pharmaceutical and biotech industry in the
NY/NJ/CT area. Prior to HP, he worked for Beckman Lab Automation Operations,
where he gained experience in laboratory information management and
chromatography data systems. He also worked as an Analytical Chemist for
Warner Lambert doing Method Development and Compound Identification. Vince
has a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Trenton State and an MBA in Marketing from
Fairleigh Dickinson University and he will be based in the NJ area.

Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) is happy to announce the addition of a European Enterprise Solutions Project Manager to our staff. Colin Read brings to ACD/Labs almost 20 years of experience in the development of a broad range of computer based solutions. Colin has held senior technical positions on a number of large scale projects including high volume transaction processing systems, high availability mission critical systems interfacing to government agencies, and 21 CFR part 11 compliant solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. He also has a wealth of experience in laboratory automation and real time control systems. Colin was intimately involved with developing the specifications and implementing ACD/SIMPLE, a custom development project developed for Pfizer's Analytical Research and Development Department in Sandwich, UK. SIMPLE, Sample Information Management in a Process Laboratory Environment, is a web-based system capable of tracking, scheduling, and reporting analytical data. We look forward to having Colin bring his skills to bear on projects requiring our Enterprise solutions.
