|
SAN DIEGO, CA, October 19, 1999 - Molecular Simulations Inc. (MSI)*, a
subsidiary of Pharmacopeia, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCOP), announces that MSI's
WebLab® MedChem Explorer™ now integrates with a leading physical property
prediction module for pKa prediction from Advanced Chemistry Development
(the pKa Module of ACD/PhysChem Batch).
"The expanding toolset of physical property algorithms available from
Advanced Chemistry Development can offer the combinatorial chemistry
application specialist valuable new capabilities for screening libraries,"
says Antony Williams, Chief Science Officer at ACD/Labs. "Now the integration to
WebLab MedChem Explorer offers additional Web-based accessibility," says
Dr. Williams.
WebLab MedChem Explorer is a Web-enabled application for medicinal chemists
that provides data access, property prediction, and other functions to
improve communication, collaboration, productivity, and creativity. "With
the interface between ACD/Labs' pKa prediction tool and MSI's MedChem Explorer,
experimental chemists working in drug discovery and design can use this
information to make decisions in prioritizing their lead compounds or
libraries," says Osman Güner, Senior Product Manager for Rational and
Combinatorial Drug Design at MSI.
