Version 10.0 to 11.0

Automation

• Use enhanced script capabilities to automate data collection, processing and database population in a way that addresses performance and efficiency issues
• Run ACD/Automation Server scripts at regular intervals with the new PeriodicRun Module. Easily set the frequency of a repetitive the task management dialog box

Version 8.0 to 9.0

Since its introduction in the version 8.0 release, ACD/Automation Server was implemented in a number of analytical laboratories to automate routine and tedious analytical processing and reporting tasks. New capabilities added for version 9 release include:

• The ability to write scripts in any one of four popular languages: C++, Pascal, Basic, or Java. Scripting gives users the ability to import analytical files from all supported vendor formats and provides access to most of the ACD/SpecManager processing macros, as well as numerous string routines, file management options, and mathematical functions.
   
• Log file configuration options, that includes a choice of errors, warnings, and informational messages.
   
• Optionally copies original not processed data files into dedicated network or local file storage and keeps reference to original data on processed files and/or database(s) records.
