MS Processor & Manager 5.0

By itself, the MS processing module of ACD/SpecManager is referred to as ACD/MS Processor. With the SpecDB module added, it is referred to as ACD/MS Manager. To see what's new with the Database features of MS Manager, please see What's New in SpecDB.

Input/Output

• MS spectral data can be easily imported from Millennium³² with push button activation.
• Import low and high resolution mass spectral data from Agilent Technologies (HP), MassLynx, OpenLynx RPT, Xcalibur, Finnigan LCQ, Finnigan ICIS, Varian Saturn 2000, PE SCIEX API to Piff, JCAMP, NetCDF and Galactic formats.
• Raw data import is significantly faster, and now you can open all data sets (functions) inside one file at once.
• Analog channel data can be imported in MassLynx format. Extended information about processed MassLynx data can now be imported.
• You can import the Scan Filter (MS Filter) spectrum parameter for Xcalibur/Finnigan LCQ data.
• Data sets that include UV spectra from Diode Array Detector can be automatically transferred into ACD/UV-IR Manager 5.0.

Processing Features

• The powerful "COMPARELCMS" feature lets you get to the heart of the difference between samples within seconds.

• There are modified separate toolbars for Spectrum and Chromatogram sub-windows.
• The "Combine" feature forms a new mass spectrum, with its own table of parameters.

• Now you can choose the level of mass accuracy for spectral processing and analysis.

• The Assignment mode has been modified to include over-ride capability. (MS Manager only)

Display and Table Features

• The Mass Chromatogram feature shows the contribution of a single mass peak throughout the course of the chromatogram.
• Several Mass Chromatograms can be shown in a single window, with or without the Total Ion Current (TIC) displayed.

• The Table of Mass Chromatograms allows you to view/hide the individual mass chromatograms.
• The improved CODA feature displays multiple traces within the same mass chromatogram.
• A separate Table of Formulae is now available.
• The modified Table of Fragments includes two new columns: the calculated mass, and the difference between calculated and observed mass peak positions.
• The enhanced Formulae Generator contains full periodic table support, isotope labels, and user-defined elements.

• For MS Manager, the Database window contains a new feature so that databases can be examined with the Multiple Record View feature. The displayed data fields, the font, and the zoom level can be chosen after right-clicking to access the pop-up menu.
