The Integration of ACD/Labs Tools with Third Party Software (Synthematix-Arthur, Scitegic-Pipeline Pilot)
Peter Frank
Abstract
ACD/Labs has always focused on providing scientists with the software tools they need to improve their workflow. Often, for the sake of efficient data management, this requires working through third-party software. Recently ACD/Labs has integrated its products with 2 software offerings designed to significantly improve the productivity of scientists: SciTegic's Pipeline Pilot and Synthematix's (a division of Symyx) Arthur Suite.
As an example, integration of both ACD/Labs Name Batch and PhysChem Batch software to Pipeline Pilot® allows users to make the most of the data pipelines that they construct, allowing systematic chemical names and physicochemical properties to be generated on demand for real time access or in a batch mode to populate, for example, registration databases or backfiles.
Integration of ACD/Labs' Deskto , Batch, and Predictors for Intranet-based software into the Arthur® Suite significantly improves the value of the product as a reaction planning tool as well as a knowledge base for future work.
