Using ACD/Structure Elucidator in an Academic Environment

Chris Singleton

Abstract

Structure Elucidator software has been used at the Center for Chemical Methodology and Library Development at Boston University (CMLD-BU) to expedite the process of reaction screening and reaction discovery.

Several novel molecules have been elucidated using the software, allowing members of the center to begin building libraries around the novel structures. Case studies of some of these molecules will be presented, illustrating the advantages of such software and some potential caveats.
