E-Lab Notebook Integration—Leveraging ACD/Labs Tools to Enhance a Paperless Environment

Abstract

Many R&D organizations have, or are currently in the midst of, implementing an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) across their synthetic chemistry labs. Unfortunately for the NMR Spectroscopist supporting R&D activity, integration of Analytical Results within ELN deployments is often left as an afterthought, in terms of implementation priorities. Consequently, the most common route of integration currently is to associate a static image of data with the appropriate ELN page. Specifically for NMR, this route does not provide for the ELN user the level of granularity or fidelity to review their analysis results effectively. Fortunately, there are many options available that can deliver a user of an ELN with a high resolution spectrum on demand, and even the ability to do reprocessing if desired.

A detailed overview of integrating desktop and web-based ACD/Labs software with ELN implementations will be presented, including several recent customer examples.
