Free Introductions to ACD/Labs Software

1. Introduction to ACD/ChemSketch 

ACD/Labs is offering free introductory workshops to visitors who do not yet have our software. These workshops last one hour, and are carried out via Placeware software. To follow along with our instructor as he discusses the software features online, you will need:

• A one-hour block of uninterrupted time
• A one-hour long distance phone connection to our office
• A high-speed internet connection

Session I. Introduction to ACD/ChemSketch

Chemical Structure Drawing and More

We will cover the basics of ACD/ChemSketch and more advanced topics as time permits. Chemical structure drawing and naming, SMILES generation, user template construction, and techniques for quickly drawing equipment diagrams will be demonstrated. We will briefly tour the features of the 140,000-member ACD/Dictionary. Since ACD/ChemSketch is the portal to all ACD/Labs software, becoming fluent in your use of ChemSketch will aid your transition to other ACD/Labs applications. We recommend this as the first course before you take any others.
