ACD/Labs Blog

As a part of our 25th anniversary celebrations, we’ve written a three part blog series to spotlight our employees around the world, sharing what makes them a special asset to our ACD/Labs family. This first blog post is dedicated to team members based in our Canada headquarters!

ACD/Labs is proud to support cutting-edge academic research, and every year hundreds of authors cite our software for its meaningful contributions to their novel findings. Here we’ve collected five of our favorite examples from 2018 (in chronological order), with a preference for open-access articles so that readers can investigate these intriguing applications of our software on their own. Read on!

If you haven’t already heard, it’s our 25th year in business. This milestone has been a magnificent journey achieved by our team’s drive to help the scientific community solve research challenges and accelerate innovation. As regulatory agencies have placed increased pressure on our customers, partners, and collaborators, we’ve stood the test of time by providing software that supports processes and workflows to ensure safety, quality, and data integrity. Our motto this year is Connect—Align—Learn. We aim to connect more with our customers, align with their needs, and learn as much as possible over the next twelve months. As we mark this silver anniversary, I found it only fitting to share 25 achievements we’ve celebrated along the way.

Recently I had the pleasure of sitting down with two of ACD/Labs’ Technical Support superstars, Laura Zepeda and Irina Oshchepkova, to discuss their experience assisting customers with software challenges. I wanted to provide a platform for them to elaborate on the issues they regularly help resolve, and ask if they had any advice for users to ensure a trouble-free experience.

As 2018 comes to a close and we approach a milestone year for ACD/Labs—2019 will be our 25th year in business—I reflect on the vigorous path of innovation ACD/Labs has taken in the last few years. For a business to remain relevant and vibrant, particularly in the science and technology sector, addressing the current needs of our customers, and most importantly anticipating those that lie ahead, is vital.
