About Us

October 19, 2015

Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) is an informatics company that develops and commercializes solutions in support of R&D. Our chemical and analytical knowledge management platform helps organizations preserve information with chemical context so it can be searched and re-applied with ease. We also provide integration with existing informatics systems and undertake custom projects including enterprise-level automation.

A privately-held company that has served the R&D community for over two decades, ACD/Labs has a global sales and support presence, with offices in N. America, Europe, and Asia. Our employees number over 160 dedicated individuals, including many PhD level scientists, with expertise in informatics and various chemical disciplines. Our customers include pharmaceutical and chemical companies—food and beverage, environmental, water, agrochemical, flavors, and fragrance—academic organizations, and government agencies worldwide.

Solution Areas

ACD/Labs’ areas of expertise include a knowledge management platform for unified laboratory intelligence; spectroscopic data processing and interpretation for NMR, MS, LC/MS, IR, RAMAN, UV, other optical, and hyphenated instrumental techniques; chemical structure confirmation, verification, and elucidation; impurity, metabolism, and degradation research; ADME-Tox and physicochemical property modeling, and property-based lead optimization; chromatographic method development; and chemical nomenclature.

Development News

Latest development efforts have focused, in parallel, on our two main product areas. The ACD/Spectrus Platform is a family of integrated tools tailored to workflows within an organization to handle instrumental analytical data, and chemical information. Spectrus facilitates retention and leverage of knowledge in a homogeneous environment. The ACD/Percepta Platform builds on the foundation of our industry-leading physicochemical and ADME-Tox predictors to provide a new platform for property evaluation, compound screening, and lead optimization.
