Human Resources Manager (North America)

Reporting to the Managing Director and working with our global administration team, the Human Resources Manager, North America, is solely responsible for the complete, accurate, and timely processing and managing of Human Resources—policy creation and maintenance, conflict resolution, recruiting, onboarding, contracts, employment, payroll, benefits, time and attendance, and other applications, modules, and interfaces used within the HR function. Duties also include Health & Safety awareness, as well as corporate ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) coordination.

Qualifications Required

  • Experience with NORTH AMERICAN (Canada, USA) employment related legislation, payroll, and effective HR services delivery.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ progressive Human Resources experience which includes hands-on data and reporting responsibilities coupled with an administrative and/or financial service background in a relevant dynamic environment.
  • Highly effective written, verbal, presentation, and relationship management skills (English language).
  • Demonstrates the analytical and critical thinking skills required for data and people management, systems administration, and problem solving.

Prerequisites

  • A university degree in business, administration, accounting/finance, human resources, or related field.
  • Equivalent knowledge and capability from a suitable combination of other formal education and practical work experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience with transaction processing, data capture, reporting, and analysis is required.
  • Good understanding of general business administration, operations, and general knowledge of labor laws are an asset.
  • High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail with sensitive data managed within the HR Systems and accounting systems.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook and Word, with at least an intermediate capability in Excel including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables. Experience with various accounting software and CRM tools is an asset.

This full-time position may be hybrid or fully home based, with a preference for bring located in Canada. Our international offices provide professional services, and business and technical support to our customers worldwide. Our head office is located in Toronto, Canada.
