A new data container construct enables rapid processing of analytical data to support high throughput chemistry

Abstract: High-throughput chemistry groups generate at least 2TB of data a year within a medium/large pharmaceutical organization. Managing and reprocessing this data is difficult—especially for 3D data like LC/UV/MS data. Relational databases are not optimized for this type of data, which limits reprocessing speed. Here, we present a new data container architecture that provides fast read/write access to unprocessed chromatographic data. The new data storage container is part of Katalyst D2D, our web-based experimental design and execution application, and allows reprocessing of a well-plate’s worth of hyphenated LC data within minutes.
