Sulfoxides and Sulfones Rule C-632

632.1 - Compounds having two or more contiguous >SO or >SO2 groups are named as disulfoxides, trisulfoxides . . . disulfones, trisulfones, etc. However, compounds having a group -SR contiguous to a group >SO or >SO2 are named as derivatives of thiosulfur acids (see Rule C-641).
