NMR Virtual Software Symposium

Watch the recordings from our Virtual NMR Software Symposium.

This mini-symposium featured guest presentations from NMR experts at industry's leading companies, discussing how ACD/Labs software is being implemented into their analytical workflows to help accelerate R&D.

Also, with the introduction of v2021 of ACD/Labs software and the release of Spectrus JS, see new functionalities and features such as browser-based NMR processing and configurational analysis using residual dipolar couplings in action! Learn how ACD/Labs NMR tools can help address your most complex challenges.

Presenters

Nadia Laschuk

Nadia Laschuk, PhD (Application Scientist) joined ACD/Labs after obtaining her PhD in Materials Science from Ontario Tech University, Canada. She performed research in inorganic chemistry, in which she synthesized then integrated coordination complexes onto nanosurfaces for smart electronics.

Kristof Cank

Kristóf Bence Cank graduated with a Master of Pharmacy at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Pharmacy in his home country Hungary, Europe in 2017. He came to the United States for a Ph.D. in Medicinal Biochemistry at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, under Dr. Nicholas H. Oberlies. He is currently a PhD candidate in his last year of graduate studies working on research topics related to the field of natural product drug discovery.

Dimitris Argyropoulos

Dimitris Argyropoulos, PhD (NMR Business Manager) obtained his PhD from the University of Athens, Greece. He joined ACD/Labs in 2015 where he has been working as an Application Scientist and an NMR Business Manager. Prior to joining ACD/Labs he worked at Varian (Agilent), UK as an NMR Applications Laboratory Manager.

Dr. Argyropoulos has extensive experience in structure determination and characterization of small molecules using NMR spectroscopy and MS, as well as NMR investigation of biomolecules and materials.

Roberto Gil

Roberto R. Gil received his Ph.D. in Natural Products Chemistry from the University of Córdoba, Córdoba, Argentina, in 1989. In 1992 he received an external post-doctoral fellowship from the National Research Council of Argentina (CONICET) to work with Professors Geoffrey A. Cordell and A. Douglas Kinghorn at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the field of bioactive natural products from plants. He currently holds the position of Research Professor and Director of the NMR Center of the Department of Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. His research interest is aimed at the development and application of NMR methodologies to the analysis of small molecules in general. Since 2008 he has been strongly involved in the development of new methodologies for the structural analysis of small molecules using a combination of isotropic and anisotropic NMR parameters together with computational methods.

Host

Sarah Mathers

Sarah Mathers (Marketing & Communications Specialist) joined ACD/Labs after completing her MSc in organic chemistry at the University of Waterloo working on the synthesis of electron deficient monomers to be used in organic electronic devices. She currently works with our NMR product lines.
