Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Systems Administrator to manage our IT infrastructure and support services. This role requires on-site presence in Porto and coordination with our Eastern Time zone team, including the IT Director and North American colleagues. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative environment, demonstrate respect towards colleagues, and contribute positively to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the IT and Professional Services infrastructure globally
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, network connections, and standard third-party software, including security tools
  • Oversee daily backups, IT documentation, and asset tracking
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing both on-site and remote support
  • Maintain operations at our Porto colocation facility to ensure high system availability

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • College or University Degree in Computer Science or related field is required
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in IT (Systems Network Administration)
  • Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English, with the ability to create effective training materials and conduct sessions
  • Proficient in virtual machine administration (VMware, xcp-ng, Proxmox) and familiar with enterprise-level hardware (Dell, Meraki, HPE)
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Amazon AWS
  • Strong understanding of DNS, Active Directory, and network security
  • Experience in supporting anti-virus, anti-malware, and network monitoring tools (Splunk, CyberArk, PRTG)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Oracle databases and familiarity with public web servers and WordPress system maintenance
