Marketing Communications Specialist

ACD/Labs is seeking a Marketing Communication Specialist with up to 2 years of experience in pharma/biopharma research or development (or related industry), and/or a graduate degree in synthetic or analytical chemistry. The Marketing Communication Specialist will work closely with subject matter experts throughout the organization to develop and execute marketing and communication strategies that maximize exposure for the company and its products. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing skills, and the ability to generate creative materials to communicate concepts, educate, and generate demand for ACD/Labs’ technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create content including brochures, catalogs, flyers, email campaigns, web content, print and web advertising, posters, presentations, videos, surveys, press releases, and media-focused tasks (articles, interviews etc.).
  • Build and execute promotional strategies for new and existing content
  • Work with subject matter experts to create content and refine messaging/positioning of new and existing products
  • Develop marketing and communication strategies to provide maximum exposure for the products and/or solutions under your responsibility
  • Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new ACD/Labs solutions and support existing technologies
  • Support sales enablement
  • Plan and execute marketing activities for trade shows and symposia (in-person and online)
  • Build customer relationships and interviews to inform marketing and marketing communications activities, gather user stories, develop webinars and symposia etc.
  • Use analytics and results from prior campaigns to inform future work
  • Travel to trade shows (1-2 per year)

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • A postgraduate degree in synthetic organic/analytical chemistry or chemical engineering
  • Up to 2 years experience in pharmaceutical research or development or related experience
    • Experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend difficult concepts and communicate them clearly to a large technical audience
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing communications or scientific writing
    • Content creation—blogs, articles, web content etc.
    • Experience with analytics and social media tools
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, and personally accountable
  • Willingness to travel to trade shows and other events
