Making Automated Structure Verification a Reality

June 2, 2020, 10:00 EDT | 16:00 CET

Reliable structure verification of candidate molecules is at the very core of any successful chemical discovery or development program. This is frequently a challenging step, involving the synthetic chemist all the way to the expert NMR spectroscopist in the organizational workflow.

ACD/Labs Automated Structure Verification (ASV) tools deliver a robust and high performance verification system by automating the assessment of the fit between a proposed structure(s) and experimental NMR and MS data. The goal of ASV is to automate the analysis of up to 90% of the simpler cases and identify a manageable subset of datasets that require additional manual review. By removing a large part of the structure verification burden from the workflow, an ASV implementation will reduce the time and effort spent on molecular characterization and ensure more time is dedicated to the synthesis and optimization process.

Join this webinar to learn:

  • When to use the different types of structure verification (single structure vs. concurrent verification)
  • What types of NMR experiments to use to get the best results
  • How to efficiently get the most from your ASV deployment

Who should attend:

  • Synthetic/Medicinal Chemists
  • NMR Scientists
  • Executives

Presenter

Dimitris Argyropoulos

Dr. Dimitris Argyropoulos (NMR Business Manager) obtained his PhD from the University of Athens, Greece. He joined ACD/Labs in 2015 where he has been working as an Application Scientist and an NMR Business Manager. Prior to joining ACD/Labs he worked at Varian (Agilent), UK as an NMR Applications Laboratory Manager.

Dr. Argyropoulos has extensive experience in structure determination and characterization of small molecules using NMR spectroscopy and MS, as well as NMR investigation of biomolecules and materials.

Host

Yalda Liaghati Mobarhan

Yalda Liaghati Mobarhan, PhD (Marketing & Communications Specialist) obtained her PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Toronto. Her area of study focused on aquatic toxicity using in vivo NMR. She joined ACD/Labs in June, where she mainly oversees marketing and communications efforts for the NMR product lines.
